USER AGREEMENT

ROYAL HAWAIIAN SEAFOOD – ROYAL HAWAIIAN SEAFOOD WEBSTORE TERMS OF USE

 

IN ORDER TO COMPLETE THE ONLINE SIGN-UP PROCESS, CUSTOMERS MUST CONFIRM THAT THEY HAVE READ ROYAL HAWAIIAN SEAFOOD'S POLICIES AND THAT THEY AGREE TO THE POLICIES' CONTENTS.

 

Pick-up Location (Fishbowl):

 A "Fishbowl" is where customers pick up their seafood. This is a local community point where multiple customers retrieve their pre-paid and supervised products. Please be courteous and respectful to the business’s staff since they’re supervising customers’ pre-paid products.

 

A customer chooses a location, and that location is fixed until the customer changes it again. It is the customer's responsibility to change the location 36 hours before the pick-up date. The timeframe for pick-ups vary for each Fishbowl, but all Fishbowls are open at least 4 hours per day. If Royal Hawaiian Seafood cancels a delivery, it will notify customers as soon as possible to re-coordinate or compensate them for the missed delivery. However, members are personally responsible for any un-retrieved products. Any late pick-ups are at the Fishbowl host’s discretion, and items left un-retrieved are automatically forfeited to the Fishbowl host.

 

Managing Pick-up Location:

Customers are in control of their Fishbowls, and therefore have the ability to change their pick-up locations 36 hours prior to pick up, using this link: Account Sign-in. For example, if the pick-up date is on Thursday, please make change the date by Tuesday evening.

 

Product Storage:

Royal Hawaiian Seafood will strictly follow practices in accordance with city, state, and federal regulations during processing, delivery and distribution. Royal Hawaiian Seafood is not responsible for the safety of customers' seafood after they are picked up. Furthermore, hosts or users accept the consequences associated with seafood safety if they do not follow guidelines stated in this document and applicable city, state, and federal regulations.

 

Product Handling:

Customers should bring an appropriately sized cooler or insulated bag for proper temperature control. Seafood needs to be kept cold, so pick-up schedules should be planned accordingly.  As for refrigeration, plan to keep the product at 39 degrees Fahrenheit or lower. Royal Hawaiian Seafood highly recommends storing seafood at as cold a temperature as possible without freezing the product -- an ideal practice is to store the seafood on top of a bed of ice. Seafood is freshest when consumed immediately, but most finfish can be frozen and consumed later. However, be aware that even when a fish’s oxidation is suspended, frozen fish will continue to degrade, and the texture and quality may change.

 

Allergies, Food Safety, and Dietary Restrictions:

NOTE TO ALL MEMBERS: CONSUMING RAW OR UNDERCOOKED MEATS, POULTRY, SEAFOOD, SHELLFISH OR EGGS MAY INCREASE THE RISK OF CONTRACTING FOODBORNE ILLNESSES.

Royal Hawaiian Seafood is aware that many people have seafood allergies/dietary restrictions and will try its best to accommodate them, such as by explicitly differentiating between shellfish and non-shellfish. Consumers should contact Royal Hawaiian Seafood directly if they have any questions or concerns regarding certain seafood; otherwise, they choose to consume the seafood at their own risks. Royal Hawaiian Seafood is not liable for allergic reactions caused by consumer consumption of its products. Consumers are fully aware that shellfish and fish from Royal Hawaiian Seafood share the same facility and realize that people with especially sensitive allergies may be at risk.

Many fish possess bones, and even with Royal Hawaiian Seafood's technology and expertise, it cannot promise 100% boneless fillets. Certain fish possess more bones and finer bones that are difficult to remove. Royal Hawaiian Seafood is not liable for any incidents, regarding the health of people or animals, which are related to or caused by bones in the fish. Consumers accept all liability for incidents regarding bones and shells related to or in possession of the natural form of seafood.

Royal Hawaiian Seafood is in compliance with and regulated by the California Department of Fish and Game, US Food and Drug Administration, and is HACCP certified.

 

 

Account Management:

Royal Hawaiian Seafood's Fishbox and Webstore storefront platform is managed by Farmigo. Using Farmigo, customers may manage their pick-up locations, purchase additional items, or use it to communicate with their Fishbowl hosts.

 

 

Account and Password:

Customers are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their passwords and any actions taken with their user accounts, whether or not those actions are authorized by the customers. Customers agree to immediately notify Royal Hawaiian Seafood of any unauthorized use of their user accounts, usernames or passwords.

 

 

Credits/Refunds/Credit Cards:

Unclaimed items are not eligible for credit refunds. After the pick-up times, Royal Hawaiian Seafood and Fishbowl hosts reserve the right to dispose of unclaimed products. However, if it is a matter of food safety or quality, customers should contact Royal Hawaiian Seafood immediately by email or by calling 415-824-1177. Customers should mark the date/time they picked up their orders and how they were stored and transported.

 

Refunds are either returned (which may take from four to six weeks), or kept on account as credit. All credits are managed by Farmigo. Farmigo is an online market that allows its users greater management of their own accounts, such as the ability to change ‘Fishbowl’ pick-up locations. Farmigo uses Authorize.Net which provides the infrastructure and security necessary to ensure fast, reliable and secure transmission data.

 

Credit card information will not be stored. Customers must pay using credit card or debit at check-out.

Royal Hawaiian Seafood will not sell or share your personal information to outside parties. Exceptions to information-sharing are with Royal Hawaiian’s contracted third parties, where the information shared is solely used to provide and improve services from Royal Hawaiian Seafood.
